STAFF at an engineering firm have been told jobs are at risk.

Johnson Controls provides equipment and services for heating and security systems as well as car electronics and electric car batteries.

It is an international company with an office in Waterlooville.

Sources have told The News that accounts staff at the office in Waterberry Drive have been told up to 50 jobs are at risk as they may be moved to Bratislava, Slovakia.

In a statement the company said: ‘We are currently in a consultation process with affected employees at our Waterlooville office, which applies to a very small percentage of our UK workforce.

‘We will follow all statutory procedures and will provide additional support to ensure the best possible outcome for any employees that are affected.’
