TWO people were cut out from a car after it hit another vehicle.

The incident happened in Park Road, Old Portsmouth, at 6.15pm today.

Two fire crews from Southsea were called to rescue the people that were trapped in one of the cars.

A total of nine firefighters worked to free the driver and passenger, who were taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, by paramedics.

They are not thought to have life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle was uninjured.
