A CELEBRATION of the diversity will take place in Petersfield town centre.

The event, billed as Culture2, aims to celebrate the diversity that can be found around East Hampshire.

There will be around 50 stall holders with a range of food products, cookery demonstrations, crafts, and local history displays.

Organisations with stalls will include Queen Elizabeth Country Park and Petersfield Museum.

Indian and Thai cuisine, sausages, and a hog-roast will be available.

The festival, taking place on Sunday, July 17, from 10am to 3pm, has been put together by Community First East Hampshire.

Organiser Carolyn Warne said: ‘It is all about celebrating the culture of East Hampshire and its diversity.

‘It used to be known as Culture in the Park and was held at Queen Elizabeth Country Park for several years.

‘What we have done is move the whole event into Petersfield town centre to make it more accessible to everyone.’
