PEOPLE looking for a fun night out are invited to a rap and RnB gig organised to celebrate cultural diversity.

The Love Music Hate Racism event at the Wedgewood Rooms this Saturday will showcase exciting young local bands including The Urban Underground and rapper Parv, 20.

Ben Russell, organiser, said: ‘It’s going to be a brilliant night and I hope there’s a big turnout. The English Defence League plans to march through Portsmouth on July 16 but we’re showing them we welcome diversity.’

Tickets cost £5 in advance and £6 on the door, and the event runs from 8pm to 2am.
