YOUNGSTERS from a pair of Fareham schools got to enjoy a day out thanks to the Rotary organisation.

Pupils from Oak Meadow Primary School and St Francis Special School, were taken to Paultons Park as part of the Rotary KidsOut Day for a day of rides and attractions.

More than 1,300 children from across the region attended the family theme park, near Romsey, as part of the day.

And mayor of Fareham Cllr Dennis Steadman helped in getting the children ready.

President of Fareham Rotary Linda Ingram said: ‘We have been planning this for months so were most fortunate to have good weather which enabled the children to enjoy the day to the full. Seeing them all having so much fun makes our work worthwhile.’
