IT WAS all smiles at Bay House School, in Gosport, as hundreds of students collected their A-level results.

The main hall was filled with tears and laughter as the weight of the results were taken off the students shoulders.

Ryan Coolahan, 18, from Gosport, said: ‘I did much better than I expected. I am over the moon.’

Ryan got an A* in sociology, an A in classic civilisation and a B in geography.

Overall results for the school were 100 per cent pass rate A*-E and 62 per cent pass rate for A*- B.
