STUDENTS have been celebrating another top set of results at Portsmouth Grammar School.

A total of 87 per cent got A*-B grades and 24 per cent got an A*.

Headteacher James Priory said: ‘I am thrilled by the achievement of our pupils in being awarded record grades at A* and producing one of the best overall A-level performances ever seen at PGS.

‘To see our results go up again this year is particularly pleasing when you consider that fewer top grades have been awarded nationally this summer.

‘Almost one in four grades was an A*, which is fantastic.

‘The vast majority have achieved a university place of their choice which is superb news. We are thrilled for them and their families.’
