STUDENTS at St Vincent College in Gosport jumped for joy as they opened their A-level results.

Teenagers at the college piled into the cafeteria to receive their results this morning.

Liam Saunders was happy with his results

Liam Saunders, 18, said: ‘I was really nervous but I am happy. I knew I had got into university because I checked UCAS.’

Liam got an A* in English literature, an A in classic civilisation, an A in his extended project and a B in English language.

Bethany Collins, from Fareham, was over the moon with her Bs in history, sociology and media.

‘They were much better than I expected,’ she said.
