THREE artistic pupils have won a photography competition for capturing Portsmouth and what the city means to them.

Harvey Greenwood, seven, Josie Hobbs, 10, and Lily Slape, nine, were chosen out of dozens of entries at Milton Park Primary, for their entries.

Lily decided to picture HMS Victory was because her grandfather had worked as a carpenter on Nelson’s cabin in the 1970s. Proud Pompey fans fans Harvey and Joshi both snapped Fratton Park as they love to watch their team play there.

Julie Smith, headteacher, said: ‘It is wonderful to see the pride that the children have in their city and we are also proud to have budding photographers in our school’.

were rewarded with a £5 voucher and a photography masterclass.
