Milton Park Federated Primary School prides itself on our curriculum and enrichment activities throughout the year.

Our science and technology week is just one of the whole-school events we run through the year.

We have already had a Book Week in the autumn term where the children learnt about stories from a variety of different cultures and countries.

And in the summer term we will also be having an Arts Week called ‘All around the World’.

We recently were awarded the Bronze Geography mark and are now going for the silver award.

All our classes across the school are named after countries.

Throughout the year the children learn about the different cultures, customs and people of their own country.

We feel that this will give them a real awareness and a proper curiosity about their world.

And we hope it will then encourage them to want to go out and explore the world later in life.

During our arts week in the summer term, the children will spend time learning about the art, music and dance from their own particular country on which they are focusing their work.

On top of this, they will also have a passport to the world day where they will visit three different cultures within the school.

We will also have visitors to the school from different cultures.

This will include dance troupes and musicians as well as drama groups.

The parents will also be invited to see an art gallery and performance linked to the week.
