STAFF and students at a further education college in Portsmouth were thrilled to host a prominent Nigerian bishop for the week.

Following his visit at Highbury College, Bishop Owen Nwokolo from the market town of Onitsha said he would be encouraging Nigerian children to study there.

He said: ‘Highbury is a college with class and prestige. How I wish the college will be replicated at Onitsha.’

The bishop also met the Anglican Bishop of Portsmouth Christopher Foster who said: ‘I was glad to meet Bishop Owen on his visit to Portsmouth and to Highbury College.

‘There is much we can share and learn from these partnerships based on friendship and our commitment to education and development alongside faith.’
