YOUNG and old alike got a chance to explore the only remaining steam driven brickworks in the country as part of an open day.

On Thursday guests at Bursledon Brickworks were able to enjoy guided tours, arts and crafts, brick-making demonstration and a photography exhibition at the Swanwick industrial museum.

There was also an opportunity for youngsters to take a ride on two steam traction engines and to explore the paranormal aspects of the site with a new Ghost Hunters feature.
