STUDENTS at Chichester College enjoyed the fruits of an £800,000 cash injection to improve their catering facilities.

The college now has a new kitchen and catering service called The Mix @ Coasters which offers a variety of foods including pizzas, pastas, Asian cuisine and a salad bar.

It is in addition to a Costa coffee house and a Subway restaurant.

The Sussex Restaurant on the college’s Brinsbury Campus, which offers a healthy range of snacks, including salads and jacket potatoes, has received a make-over following feedback from students.

As well as this, vending options have been launched across campus, including branded up-to-date machines selling snacks and beverages.

Caroline Ponto, the college’s press officer, said: ‘The new Subway and Costa outlets on campus have truly put the college on the map, and brought the high street to the students.’
