A SCHOOL has had a visit from the bike doctor to do essential maintenance on their bicycles.
The bike doctor, run by My Journey Portsmouth, went to Mayfield School to carry out bike check-ups and repairs.
Guy Partleton, manager at Bicycle Society, said: ‘A lot of children’s bikes are not up to date, so we went to the school to check they are safe to ride.
‘Our priority of the is to ensure the safety of the children.
‘We run the bike doctor twice a week in Commercial Road, Portsmouth, and can do the essential maintenance of roughly 30 bikes in six hours.’
The free bike doctor in Portsmouth ensures that any minor adjustments or basic repairs can be made and if more maintenance is required they will estimate a rough cost.
