FIREFIGHTERS have been giving advice to youngsters at a bowling alley.

Children from local schools were invited to Bedhampton AMF Bowling, where they were challenged at bowling matches and given fire safety advice.

Watch manager Ian Sales from Cosham Fire Station, said: ‘It was run last year as well. The bowling alley put invitations out to local schools to see if they wanted to come down and engage with different services.

‘Any sort of initiative like that which gets us involved with the public has always got to be a good thing.

‘From the feedback from the guys who went they had a good time and had a bit of fun and got something out of it which was good.’
