PUPILS at a special school in Havant had the chance to show off their skills.
Prospect’s Got Talent runs every year and gives the boys at the school the opportunity to show off what they have learnt in performing arts.
Yesterday the boys at Prospect School in Leigh Park, took part in the show which featured lots of singing.
This term the curriculum has had a big focus on performing arts which includes dance, drama, music, theatre design, stage management and DJing.
Headteacher Marijke Miles said: ‘We combine these skills and the culmination of that is the production of the annual event.
‘What’s amazing about this year is that we’ve got so many Year 7s who have performed.
‘These are children who are only just out of primary school who have been singing and playing solo.
‘It’s amazing for any child but when you consider the fact they have got so many challenges it’s amazing.
‘It’s incredibly important. This is a very good way of measuring relationships with staff.
‘What’s really lovely is that other boys who aren’t involved admire what they are doing.
‘Their behaviour has been excellent. Pupils have been very supportive of each other.’
And Mrs Miles said overall it went very well.
‘It was absolutely brilliant,’ she said.
‘The biggest thing is hoping that they don’t get stage fright.’
