YOUNGSTERS at a primary school in Cosham were thrilled to receive a £500 cheque to buy more games for their breakfast club.
Sainsbury’s Farlington presented Medina Primary with the community grant after being impressed with the club, which has proven to improve attendance and concentration in the classroom.
Headteacher Howard Payne said: ‘The money will be invaluable to help us to keep the club available to our children.’
He explained the money would help buy extra games to keep the youngsters entertained.
Lesley Powell, from Sainsbury’s, said: ‘When we heard about the breakfast club we were really pleased to be able to help out.’
