Budding writers get help

AN award-winning author has paid a visit to a Fareham school to inspire them in their reading and writing.

Craig Simpson visited Henry Cort Community College for a motivational talk and creative writing workshop.

Craig is the author of the Special Operations series which are about wartime secret agents.

Jimmy Lilliman, 11, said: ‘The session was great fun and Craig helped us to develop our own ideas.’

Amber Bettley, 12, added: ‘We’ve been shown some of the techniques required to build a great story.

‘From the age of nine, I have dreamed of becoming a journalist so I have thoroughly enjoyed all the insight we have gained which has been a great inspiration.’
