Business leaders to meet with Fareham students

FAREHAM students rubbed shoulders with business professionals at an event designed to give them an insight into the world of work.

The pupils at Neville Lovett took part in the ‘meet the professional’ scheme run by Portsmouth and South East Hampshire Education Business Partnership for schools across the region.

Representatives from companies including Solent Hotel and Spa, Fareham College, the Royal Air Force, the Royal Navy and construction company Warings took part in the event designed to open students’ eyes up to different careers.

David Butterworth, head of Year 9, said: ‘The event was a real success and the students have been buzzing about it.

‘The quality of professionals attending was superb, they had an instant respect from the students.

‘I’ve learnt just as much as the students from the process.’
