Cheeky crawlies

A BUGS LIFE Harry Davies and Jamie Trodden. Picture: Ian Hargreaves (13531-3)

CHEEKY Harry Davies and Jamie Trodden dressed up as cockroaches as they explored a different side to life aboard a submarine.

The two seven-year-olds, both from Gosport, were visiting HMS Alliance at The Royal Navy Submarine Museum in Haslar Jetty Road, Gosport.

They spent the time learning about the unpleasant bugs which used to live on the submarine.

The two were on the Beastly Bug Trail but kept smiling happily as they wandered the vessel.

The submarine is in the process of going through a multi-million pound scheme to save it from going to waste.

The scheme will see members of the public get better access to it and learn how sailors coped in such conditions – including how they dealt with creepy crawlies.
