STAFF and pupils from Kingsham Primary School in Chichester have been bowled over by a generous donation from the sponsors of a village cricket competition.

House builder Persimmon, which organises the Persimmon Village Cup 2011, handed over a cheque for £250 to help swell the school’s PE department coffers and support youngsters who enjoy a game of cricket.

The company also gave a further £250 to the Hambledon Cricket Club, which reached the national knock-out stages of the Persimmon Villege Cup this year, to contribute towards the cost of their kit in 2012.
