PUPILS are keeping a close eye on a cute batch of freshly hatched chicks with help from the wonders of technology.

The youngsters at Cottage Grove Primary have been glued to their school webcam so they don’t miss anything about the chirping guests, even when the children are not in the same room.

Headteacher Polly Honeychurch said: ‘The eggs arrived last week and the children have enjoyed seeing them hatch and grow in a short space of time.

‘We’ve all become so attached to them and are constantly logging on to the webcam to see how they are getting on.’

The chicks are to be adopted by a relative of one of the teachers.
