CHILDREN have been enjoying new playground equipment a their school.

Staff at Cumberland Infant School in Methuen Road, Southsea, decided to build the new equipment as their old play area needed repairs and a new surface.

Headteacher Beverley Naylor said: ‘We needed to resurface part of the playground so we decided to build new play equipment as well.

‘The children got very excited watching it being built and they absolutely love it.

‘It is very popular with all ages which is just fantastic to see.’

The playground got a new spongy surface which is easier to look after and safer for the pupils.
