CHILDREN will get up on stage to celebrate five years of success at a drama group.

Theatre Arts UK was set up in 2009 with the aim of inspiring children through drama and dance.

Just 20 children were involved at the start, but it now has more than 250 members.

Verity McCormick is the company director of Theatre Arts UK. She said: ‘This is to celebrate how far we have come. I am a strong believer in performing arts and what it can do for pupils’ confidence.’

Children from the age of three up to 15 from Theatre Arts Portsmouth, Theatre Arts Southbourne, Theatre Arts at Heathfield School and the Stardust Youth Theatre will be performing.

The show, called Nothing Stops Another Day, will take place on Sunday, July 13 at 4.30pm at the Kings Theatre.
