Children's day nurseries ranked in the top 10

A CHILDREN'S day nursery chain has been named one of the best in the country.

Tops Day Nurseries, which has branches at Lakeside North Harbour, Queen Alexandra Hospital and in Stockheath Lane, Havant, was ranked in the top 10 large nursery chains in the UK by daynurseries.co.uk.

The chain, founded by Cheryl Hadland in 1990, has 17 nurseries in the south of England, with plans to open in Christchurch and Salisbury in the coming weeks.

The daynurseries.co.uk awards are based on review scores of nursery given by parents and carers.

Nurseries are rated on their overall standard, facilities and outside space, learning, resources, care, activities, staff, food and nutrition, management, cleanliness, safeguarding as well as value for money.

Kiddi Caru Day Nurseries, which has a branch in Whiteley, also made the same top 10.
