THE principal of a city college is making a trip to India with the deputy prime minister.

Stella Mbubaegbu CBE, principal and chief executive of Highbury College in Portsmouth, is part of a three-day delegation to the country with Nick Clegg MP.

The delegation is looking at what opportunities have come up with India focusing on growing its economy.

Ms Mbubaegbu said: ‘We already have several significant projects within India, and we are leading a consortium of 16 UK colleges in a partnership with Larsen & Toubro working within the construction sector.

‘Our services include delivering bespoke vocational training for employers, co-creating strong employer-led business and education partnerships, and leading on innovative approaches to teaching and learning.’

‘We look forward to the meetings we will be attending on this trip.’
