A DANCE school is celebrating its greatest success in decades after winning dozens of trophies at a national competition.

Competitors aged between six and 30 from the Iris Barn School of Dancing in Fratton scooped more than 30 prizes at the Disco, Freestyle & Rock ‘n’ Roll grand finals in Guildford earlier this month.

Bobbie Ainsley, dance teacher, said: ‘I am extremely proud of all the girls and boys who took part - they were wonderful.

‘This is the best year we’ve had in 22 years and we’re looking forward to improving on it next year.’

The Iris Barn school will be putting on a Christmas-themed disco show at the Kings Theatre in Southsea on November 19.
