Students congratulated each other as they celebrated A-level passes at Havant College
Becky Jervis, 18, from Hayling, got an A in Socialology, A in Health and Social Care, a B in Psychology, a C in English Literature. She is going to Univeristy of Portsmouth to study Criminology and Forensics.
She said: ‘This is the most nervous I’ve ever been in my whole life. I’m so glad it’s over.’
Alex Rajan-Iyer, 18, from Southbourne, got a C in English Language, D in Drama and Theatre Studies, and D in Classical Civilisation .
He said: ‘I want to be an actor so with these grades I can start auditioning for drama school such as Central and East 15. I’m going to take a year out and I’m really looking forward to moving to London.’
Jodie O’Leary, 21, from Petersfield, go an A* in English Literature and Language, a B in Chemistry, and an A in Maths.
She wants to go to Cardiff University to study Biomedical Neuroscience.
She said: ‘I have been behind a few years because I’m a carer for my mum and that impacted upon me. Every time I came to take my exams I just could not sit them.
‘But I’ve finally managed to do it now. We now have a support network in place for my mum and hopefully she’ll be OK when I go to university.’
