Councillors agree to Waterlooville school

PLANS to build a new primary school in Waterlooville have been given the green light.

Councillors at Hampshire County Council agreed unanimously to the plans.

The 420-place school is set to be built on five acres of land in the northern half of the West of Waterlooville Major Development Area (MDA), which will have 3,000 new homes when completed.

It would cater for children from the new Berewood estate to the south and the Old Park Farm development off Hambledon Road.

The school is set to open in September 2014.
