BRIGHTLY-COLOURED papier-mache insects made by six-year-olds from St Paul’s RC Primary will feature on stage for the Groundlings Theatre’s upcoming Jungle Book production.

Only 10 insects were needed for the show – but theatre bosses decided to use all 24 creations as they were so impressive. Ralph Corke, the Groundlings’ marketing manager, said: ‘The insects were so good we had to hold on to them all! From caterpillars to spiders, dragonflies and ladybirds – the designs were fantastic and will be a great addition to the set.’

The theatre is inviting more entries from under-12s before March 27 in time for the show from March 28 until April 10.
