CHILDREN gasped with amazement and cheered excitedly as they watched the night sky fill up with fireworks.
Scores of pupils from Ranvilles Infant and Junior School were out last night to see a dazzling fireworks display.
For the fourth year running it was held in the school’s playing field in Oldbury Way, Fareham.
The ticketed event helps to raise money for the schools.
Richard Jones, 41, and his wife Amanda, 41, went along to last night’s display with their daughter Daisy, six, who attends the school.
Mr Jones, of Plymouth Drive, Stubbington, said: ‘This is the third time we have come and we always enjoy it.
‘It was a brilliant display and it supports the school.’
And it was the first time for dad David Elkington to go with his children Bradley, seven, and Louis, three.
He said: ‘Now that both the boys are old enough we decided to come and see the display.
‘My eldest goes to the school and we wanted to come and support it.’
The display lasted for around 20 minutes and it also included a laser light show from Mijaro Pyrolighting.
