A TOP pre-school in Buckland has won £300 to make maths fun for its children.

Swishers Flc, based at St Wilfrid’s Church hall, will use the cash from Britannia home insurers to improve number skills and raise awareness of the importance of numeracy with families.

Elaine Clews, from Britannia, part of The Co-operative Bank, said: ‘We are delighted to support the pre-school’s plans to improve skills and confidence with numbers – the building blocks for good financial management in later life.’

Swishers, rated outstanding by Ofsted, runs pre-school and after-school services for two to seven-year-olds as well as holiday schemes for children up to 12 years.
