STUDENTS at Highbury College met Professor Sugata Mitra, an eminent scientist and expert in education and cognitive science.

Professor Mitra held a discussion with a group of business and law A-level students about his research in India, how advances in technology are influencing access to education and how education will change.

Highbury Primary School also received a visit from Professor Mitra who was interested to see how his Self-Organised Learning Environment (SOLE) philosophy was being implemented.

Headteacher Sarah Sadler said: ‘It was useful for the teachers to observe the way he modelled the technique and to see a different style of teaching.’
