A COUNCILLOR has returned to his old sixth form to speak to politics students.

Cllr Chris Wood, who represents Fareham Crofton, visited Bay House Sixth Form College where he held three one question and answer sessions with the AS and A2 politics classes.

He said: ‘I thoroughly enjoyed returning to my old sixth form and meeting students of all political persuasions and opinions. It was great to see so many students taking the same course which I enjoyed six years ago.

‘Conversation and debate forms the basis of politics, I was hugely impressed with the students’ respect for one another’s opinions as well as their own knowledge and passion for the subject.

‘Regardless of which party the students choose to support, it is great to see them engaged with local and national issues.’
