THE impact of the Holocaust is set to be explored at a two-day conference at the University of Portsmouth.

The conference, Trauma and Memory: the Holocaust in Contemporary Culture, is being hosted by the university’s Centre for Studies in Literature and includes an evening with an acclaimed touring theatre company dedicated to raising awareness of Holocaust.

The theatre company Voices of the Holocaust will perform at 7pm today in the David Russell Theatre at Portsmouth Grammar School.

Tomorrow night at 6pm, Yiddish oral storyteller Shonaleigh Cumbers will perform her evocative tale ‘A Fairytale from Auschwitz’.
