YOUNGSTERS tweeted, designed, built and played at an award-winning technology fair.

Fareham Byte retuned to Fareham College for the second year and schools from across Portsmouth took part.

The day included workshops, demos, competitions, challenges, live music and talks, all presented by college students.

Head of media and performing arts Stephan Caspar said: ‘We wanted to hold a day that celebrated technology. When I became head of media, I discovered that the students were really talented and I wanted to showcase that.

‘The students come into their own when they are teaching other children about technology, they engage.’

Last year’s event won a Hi5 eLearning Award.
