COLLEGE students will be one step closer to finding a job when a new employment hub opens in January.

Fareham MP and Minister for Work & Pensions Mark Hoban will officially open the facility at Fareham College when the students return after their winter break.

The employment hub will offer a tailor-made service in which students will have access to iPads, enabling them to job search with ease.

The college will also launch a web-based program
which users can use
from home and will match students to suitable job vacancies.

Mr Hoban said: ‘The need for colleges to firm up the link between study and employment has never been more important.

‘The labour market is very competitive and employers want a responsive recruitment service that reduces the time and cost of getting the right person for them.

‘This initiative by Fareham College is just what students need to support them getting into employment during and after study.’
