A COLLEGE organised a prom revival to help school pupils find affordable outfits.

Fareham College held the event for which students brought in outfits for sale at a drastically reduced price.

This enabled school pupils to buy recycled, dresses and suits which were much cheaper than new. These were then on display during a fashion show in The Venue where students from the local schools attended.

Forty-two dresses were on sale and sales reached almost £1,000, including sales of raffle tickets and hair and beauty packages. Gill Sommers, director of applied studies, said: ‘It seemed a pity that prom outfits are only worn once.’
