TEAMwork is the driving force behind a school’s Ofsted success as it celebrates moving from satisfactory to good under a tougher inspections framework.

St Jude’s Catholic Primary in Fareham was given the second-best rating for pupil achievement, behaviour and leadership.

Headteacher Christine McGrew said she was very pleased with the report, in particular the feedback on teaching which was judged to be good with outstanding practice evident.

She also highlighted the revamped curriculum which includes lots of outdoor trips to bring schoolwork to life.

Mrs McGrew, who gave special thanks to the local authority for their support, said: ‘The key to our improvements was team work.’
