STUDENTS from a theatre company are preparing to bring the tale of Alice in Wonderland to life on stage.

Adventures with Alice is a unique stage adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale, which will be performed by students from the Highbury Theatre Company.

Sam Shaw, 17, a Level 3 BTEC performing arts student, who is playing the Mad Hatter, said: ‘In Alice, there are so many different parts it means everyone can get involved.’

Sharron Wearn, 17, is also a performing arts student and is playing the lead role.

She said: ‘It’s something a bit different from our usual BTEC course where we are assessed in every class.

‘Here you can go your own way with it.

‘You can have a bit of fun and not worry about grades.’

The shows will take place in the Performance Theatre at Highbury Campus on Tuesday at 7pm, and Wednesday at 1pm and 7pm.

For tickets call (023) 9238 3131. They are £2 each.
