JOBSEEKERS will have musical accompaniment at a unique careers fair.

Havant Borough Council is hosting its third Party in the Park event, in Havant Park, on June 4.

The event focuses on boosting skills and employability in the borough and there will be more than 50 exhibitors.

Organisations including Hampshire County Council, Brendon Care, Wheatsheaf Trust, Job Centre Plus and local colleges will be offering advice on courses and job opportunities.

Last year’s event saw more than 1,000 people visit Havant Park to browse the exhibition and spend time listening to the music, which will be provided by the young people’s project Music Fusion.

Councillor Mike Fairhurst is working with Havant Skills and Employability Partnership to organise this event.

He said: ‘Whether you’re looking for work, worried about losing your job, leaving college or re-training there’s something for everyone.

‘We want to get people thinking more creatively about their interests and seek opportunities to turn these into profitable careers.’
