FOOTBALLERS will be performing penalty shoot-outs with youngsters at a Purbrook children’s centre at a fun-packed fundraising event.

Members from the Havant & Waterlooville Football Club, known as The Hawks, will entertain families at Crookhorn Lane Children’s Centre today from 10am until 1pm.

Families in the area are invited to join in the fun which will include a visit from farm animals and a raffle with 14 prizes.

All money raised on the day will go towards the centre’s Families Forum that organises family trips for free.

Hayley Smith, the forum’s secretary, said: ‘It would be fantastic to have a good turnout as there will be plenty for families to enjoy.

‘Sure Start budgets are being cut next year but we are determined to carry on funding family trips to nearby parks and farms on weekends to ensure our children don’t miss out.

‘Children will enjoy the penalty shoot-outs but their older siblings will also be able to get involved.’
