IT WAS back to school for two men when they took a tour of their old primary school - nearly 60 years since they were last there.

Peter Bromley, 69, and his friend Ronnie Cunningham, 69, took a trip down memory lane as they visited Milton Primary School last week.

Peter, from Felpham, near Bognor Regis, organised the trip after wondering how the school had changed over the decades.

He contacted old school chum, Ronnie, from Portchester, who was also keen to revisit the place where they first met as four-year-olds.

Headteacher Julie Smith gave the duo a tour of the school, on Eastney Road.

Peter said: ‘They have computers now. It is a million miles away from when we went there. We went to see our old classroom, the one we had when we left. We got a lollipop from the sweet shop across the road, which is still the same.

‘I have always wanted to go back - they were happy times.’
