THE University of Portsmouth has won funding to join a national network which will help more young people to go into higher education.

The National Networks for Collaborative Outreach (NNCO) is a new £22m scheme involving more than 200 higher education institutions and reaching 4,300 secondary schools and colleges.

The scheme will work with schools, universities and colleges to encourage people into higher education.
