ENTERPRISING youngsters are invited to pitch their business ideas to a panel of experts at Chichester College next week.

Prospective students of the further education college’s new enterprise and entrepreneurship BTEC diploma will be given a platform at the Pitch for a Place event on July 4.

The college, approved by the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy, offers a BTEC qualification backed by top companies including Orange and Grant Thornton.

Principal Shelagh Legrave said: ‘Developing entrepreneurs and enterprise skills in young people is critical to the future success of the local economy. We’re delighted to be amongst the first colleges in the country to become a Peter Jones Enterprise Academy partner as this enables us to offer young people a unique opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial skills.’

Anyone interested in pitching should contact Helen Manuel on 01243 786321 or email helen.manuel@chichester.ac.uk.
