STUDENTS at Brune Park Community School in Gosport have been praised for their GCSE success.

Pupils at the Military Road school queued nervously to receive their results today.

The school had 50% of their students achieving the gold standard of five A*-C GCSEs including English and maths.

Anthony Gunfield and Aaron Wolfe, both 16, from Gosport, collected their results in Dr Who costumes.

Anthony said: ‘We’re big fans of Dr Who and we wanted to go out with a bangy.

He received an A*, six As, two Bs and a C, while Aaron achieved four As and five Bs.

Brune Park headteacher Richard Kelly said: ‘The students themselves have been really successful and they have contributed to maintaining that improving standard.’
