Students as ‘wildly excited’ as it’s revealed Tim Peake will visit Portsmouth school

Pupils at City Portsmouth of Boys School were happy with their exam results.

The students gathered at the school, in Hilsea, for their long-awaited GCSE results and they were pleased with what they got.

George Hughes, 16, from North End, got two B’s and three C’s meaning he can move into to college.

He said: ‘I was happy with what I got and I am looking forward to the future now.

‘It feels like a weight off my shoulders.’

Headteacher Mike Smith was happy for the students.

He said: ‘Results day is a relief for many students and those who tried hard did really well.

‘They can now look forward to college.’
