Portsmouth school raises awareness for education in poor countries

SCHOOLS across the area are being invited to enter designs for road safety banners as part of a competition linked to Road Safety Week.

Children aged 4-11 will be designing banners encouraging people to be considerate to and aware of other road users and look out for their own safety whether they are driving, walking, cycling, skating or running.

Winners will be presented with a large-scale printed banner featuring their design to be displayed at their school.

Road Safety Week starts on Monday, November 17.

Visit The closing date for entries is Friday, October 10.
