YOUNGSTERS at Wimborne Juniors hope a visit from former pupils who won the 1958-9 school league cup final is a good omen.

The current year sixes have reached the finals of the school league cup at Fratton Park on May 4 - and by coincidence, the three winning former pupils dropped by to give them their team fixture board as a memento.

Deputy head Sarah Luker said: ‘We’re hoping the former trophy winners are going to be a good omen. We’ve given them tickets for the game.’
