ACTIVITIES will be taking place at a Victorian fort this half-term.
The Royal Armouries Museum at Fort Nelson will be organising activities including sampling Victorian games and crafts.
Fort operations manager Nigel Hosier said: ‘Children are fascinated by history and how young people lived in bygone years and our half-term programme aims to bring the past to life in an exciting and meaningful way.
‘Unlike purpose-built museums, Fort Nelson is a historic building in its own right and is an ideal setting for telling local history stories at a place where it actually happened.’
There will be hands-on history sessions for children under 12, which will include completing Victorian homework sheets and playing traditional period games such as skittles and marbles.
The activities will take place from Monday, February 17 until Friday, February 21.
